Lesson Text:
Proverbs 30:24-28 - "Here be four things which are little upon the earth, but they are exceeding wise: The ants are a people not strong, yet they prepare their meat in the summer; The conies are but a feeble folk, yet make they their houses in the rocks; The locusts have no king, yet go they forth all of them by bands; The spider taketh hold with her hands, and is in kings' palaces."

    • "Prepare their meat"
      • Ants demonstrate ambition and responsibility.
        • Urgency in the summertime harvest in preparing for the upcoming winter
        • A time comes when ants, nor we, can labor
      • Jesus spoke of urgency about limited opportunities - John 9:4; Romans 13:10-11; Ephesians 5:16

Conclusion:
Are you a Christian? God's plan reveals that after hearing the gospel taught, that we are to have faith (Romans 10:17; Mark 16:15-16). This faith leads us to repent of our sins and to confess the good name of Christ as the only begotten Son of God (Luke 13:3,5; Romans 10:9-10). The final step of God's plan of salvation is scriptural baptism for the remission of sins (Acts 2:38). Baptism puts one into Christ and into His church (Acts 2:42-47). Paul wrote, "For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ." (Galatians 3:26-27). Jesus' blood is that which will wash away our sins. It is by contacting His blood that we have the grace of God and our sins are forgiven. "In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace" (Ephesians 1:7).
